Beginning with the Railways, and in particular Network Rail, Benchmark has, since its inception, successfully completed a range of mandates in the infrastructure sector, and these have led on to roles in the energy business, and oil and gas. Roles are many and varied, but with a particular emphasis on Business development and general management roles. These include appointments in HR and health and safety.
The infrastructure sector is probably one of the most recession proof, and as such was once seen as a safe haven in stormy times. The market is buoyed currently by major projects, most notably the HS2 and Levelling Up, but the driving imperative is still to find those key executives who can win and deliver business.
